Random Awesomeness of the Times

For some of you who may know me personally, I'm really a random person. I'll always have tidbits to share about my life, sometimes you'll just go "AH OK, and so? Your point is?" Some people find it really annoying but sometimes life is really just so random. This blogpost is dedicated to celebrating that fact! DON'T BE HATIN'.
I'm glad this BA 180.1 blog is helping me bring out the randomness and awesomeness of life. Ha ha. (Thanks Sir Pabellon, your idea's awesome!)

Technology, what do I do without you!

Random Awesomeness #1: Of Manny Villar's 'Naging Mahirap' jingle...

Really Manny? You?

Awzum song... apparently, "Nakaligo ka na ba sa dagat ng basura" is not the title of this political jingle because "Naging Mahirap" is. Ha ha. For some outlandish reason (which I am still thoroughly trying to figure out btw), that political jingle  is fast tracking its way to my mental list of top LSS songs. It was around December-ish when I first heard that song not from tv or radio but from my 8 year old brother, Marco. I gotta hand it to whoever made this song. Using children to bring the words to life is pure genius. I mean, I wouldn't think I'd get hooked to it as much without my brother's incessant chanting. This might very well be the Philippine's national anthem for the next 6 years? Who knows right. Btw, I am not trying to endorse Manny V. :) Just sing along with me!

Oh and let's all vote wisely and get to know our presidentiables! We better not screw up the May 2010 elections. We have 2 months to decide and make our votes count.

Any thoughts on the e-voting the government will be implementing this May 2010? It sounds really scary if you ask me... all the linking of data "in the air." Who knows where our votes go to before they reach the main counter at Comelec? Geez Philippine politics, geez.

Random Awesomeness #2: Monopoly Revolution

You spin my head right round, right round

The quadrilateral is now round. It's amazing at how Hasbro decided to revamp the packaging. I wonder how it'll influence the game outcome. For one, there's no more cash involved. Everything's programed into a calculator which credits for properties and whatnot. That also probably means gone are the long arguments of who gets to be banker! Rawr, SNORE. Design wise, it's amazing and new. I'm just not sure if this could bring out the real enjoyment we get from playing the game the way we're accustomed to.

Random Awesomeness #3: Adhoc: Eternity in an Hour

The Midnight Special aka Eternity in an Hour

Watch the video and be inspired. WAIT,  OK so Blogger won't allow me to post videos cause the video icon is not in the control panel. FAIL. Bloggers please help me figure this one out. Here's the wonderful link instead: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150123607295241

UP JMA Ad hoc team, WILD. I can't really tell how many people went. This one's gotta be the best AdHoc ever.

Random Awesomeness #4: Feliz Cumpleaños Michelle.Lean.Nella.Viana!

My next stop after Ad Hoc! I thought I'd be able to enter a state of sobriety come this joint party 'cause Lean called to tell me all the alcohol's gone. NOT. Next thing I knew, I was already up against Trisha Lee in chugging down Hennessy Cognac straight off the bottle. ALAT. Oh and... it's really so heartwarming to see all my HS friends!!! SUPER GVs guys!!! Michelle, I sincerely hope your house is back to its normal and clean state.

Overall, I think this weekend has been one of the best yet! BIG SMILES AND SNAPS.

95% of this post is not even related to 180.1 Ha ha. Well I hope you enjoyed this hodgepodge of randomness nonetheless.

And another thing, I just discovered Loserboi's blog been shut down. OH NO. :(

Testing testing.. uno dos tres!

¡Hola chico/chica!

¡Bienvenidos a mi BA 180.1 blog! That means "Welcome to my BA 180.1 blog!" Ha ha.

About 6 years ago, my best friend, Lean and I set up our very first blog. It's something like the blog of music promoters' Loserboi and Backyy. No we were not Hiphop/RnB savvys who took turns in promoting new music worldwide; but more of plain high schoolers who thought had everything to say about our oh-so-myopic world.

That's Lean on left-most part of the picture! She's a model now!

Our blogsite (whose URL shall remain undisclosed, sorry) was made on a high schoolers' whim to be connected with all of our other close friends who already had blogs of their own. We decided to come up with one together to see how many would frequent our site and/or have the interest of posting comments to our logs... wow. Super shallow reason, I know! But remember, this was high school and blogs were the closest things we had to today's social networking sites (Friendster was slowly deteriorating around this time).

Eventually, Lean and I grew tired of updating our blogsite (Multiply was on a take off stage at this point) and we just knew we had to outgrow it. Pictures now became worth a thousand words for both of us (and the rest of the world) individually. On a side note, if you're asking if Lean and I remained friends, we still are today. Strong. Ha ha.

With a slight turn of events and now, social networking sites, a form of social media have reached greater heights-- and Facebook's just one of them! I'm nothing but amazed, considering how I've been resistant at getting my own FB account until only recently (last semester). Now there are more social networking sites that allow us to do more than blog all we wanted to. Best part about Facebook and all is that I feel so connected... not just through blogs but in pictures, links, everything! Again, it's amazing! Web 2.0 + Social media = win!

Here I am, 6 years older owning a blog of my own (for academics - SOLELY for BA 180.1; and for a better purpose - for building meaningful connections among my classmates and Sir Pabellon). Aww.

In a few, I'll be publishing this (my first blog entry) and all I can think of now is... cyber-chronicling will never stop.

Hopefully, my guess will be as good as yours.
